Listening is often thought of as a passive and easy activity. We have all been told- Just listen! But what is listening? Is it an ability, art, behaviour, practice, process, or skill? What is clear is that it’s more than hearing words; it's an active process that enriches both personal and professional relationships. The ability to listen is both healing and allows for deep connection.
Course Overview:
This course, designed to enhance your listening skills, will teach you how to listen with intention, motivation, and care. Whether in conversations with friends, colleagues, or loved ones, responsible listening helps you connect on a deeper level and to respond in meaningful ways. The act of listening has many parts- sounds, hearing, listening, and understanding.
The course focuses on developing listening skills to have trust in the value of listening, fostering hope, and utilising deep listening to support both the deliverer and recipient. Through interactive sessions and practical tools, participants will gain confidence in communicating difficult messages with care and understanding.

The tools used throughout the course may include:
Breath Work, Group Activities, and Emotional Freedom Techniques (Tapping).
Tai Chi/Qigong exercises, visualisations, and storytelling, Poetry, Role-playing different scenarios of listening to connect (e.g., uninteresting topics or people, limited time, emotional content), Individual/Group discussions on listening habits, real-life stories, and experiences.
